Dept. of forensic medicine is situated in the King Mahendra Eye Hospital campus and includes a laboratory, a museum, demonstration and seminar rooms and an office complex.

Forensic medicine deals with the legal aspects encountered in the practice of medicine. E.g. homicide, suicide, infanticide, rape, post- mortem etc.
