The department provides for inpatient, outpatient and emergency services round the clock. Its services extend to normal deliveries, babies delivered with C section and other anomalous babies.

Critically ill neonates are taken care in the fully equipped NICU.

Similarly critically Sick children are taken care in the well equipped Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

An Intermediate Nursery takes care of sick babies. The department also runs an immunization clinic on every Friday along with programmers such as Well Baby Clinic & ORT hubs.

Paedriatic health check-up camps are conducted periodically as outreach programmes for the inaccessible population.

Academic activities include a didactic schedule of lectures, clinics, tutorials, demonstrations, labour-room teaching, immediate care of newborn, neonatal resuscitation and seminars.
